Maytown Foods, LLC, a woman and minority-owned business, was founded by Shan Columbus in the Twin Cities of Minnesota in June 2020. 

 

Maytown Foods, LLC values the connections and dynamic changes of food between cultures and generations. It cares for your taste experience and nutritional needs with its creative and innovative product development ability. The company currently provides two gourmet daily-meal seasonings, Jump Chili Classic and Jump Chili Cuisine. They are available in different locations in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and online.

 

Shan was born and raised with savory foods in the southwest, a spicy food center of China. Years of international business experience allowed her to try delicious foods worldwide. Since she moved to the U.S. with her son Andy and more than 20 cooking books, she has never stopped pursuing an opportunity to start a food business and share good tastes with the world.

 

With her family cook's experience and skills, Shan started with a goal to help busy people or people who are learning how to cook quickly prepare a delicious meal. When she came to think about a brand name, she remembered when she was young and ate something hot, her grandma often yelled to her, "Shan, jump! Jump! You will feel better!" Beautiful and fun memories hit Shan, and she named her delicious sauces Jump Chili.
